I'll be closing the doors of the "studio" June 1st and will reopen in August. I am really looking forward to some summer fun with my family. Today, I booked another wedding, making my wedding slots almost full. I only have one more day left available for 2013.
I feel very blessed about being able to enjoy these special moments with these amazing couples. Why do I only do a few weddings a year? Family of course. I already work a full-time job M-F, so that means I only do sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. We all know that you don't just shoot & you're done. There is much more involved in photography, even wedding photography. So, all that shooting and all that editing takes much needed, desired time away from my family & I promised them I'd keep it light in that department. This year we've been blessed with good health & good times, looking forward to some fun in the summer fun :)

Mini Sessions Now Available
Here at the Great Outdoor Studio, we are offering Mini Sessions during the summer months. Book your session between now & August 31, 2013 and you'll receive a 30 minute session, 15-20 edited images suitable for up to 20x16 prints in both color and black&white, an online viewing gallery for sharing & proofing, digital download of your images, signed limited-print release & watermarked images for social networking for only $150.00. Since I only shoot on the weekends, space is limited. Travel charges will apply if outside the 32038 zip code, email me at lela@greatoutdoorstudio.com for more information. These mini sessions are designed for 1-4 people. Does not include seniors, models, large groups, infants or children under the age of 3.

No More Freebies
Well, I've thought long and hard about all the "free sessions" I have offered people over the years. Mostly because I am in the mood to do a session & I'll post something on facebook to get a response of someone interested in modeling for me & the time/date not work out for the people that inquired. So because I have an idea in mind at the moment, and I don't want to let go of the chance to complete my idea even though the time isn't working out-I'll schedule this free session with someone in advance, clogging up my calendar for paying clients when they come in and are interested. Now, this is my own doing-of course, and I don't blame anyone for this but myself-however, more times then not-the free sessions will be canceled.
So, it has been decided that Great Outdoor Studio's will no longer be offering free sessions to anyone from this day forward. If I have a idea & find a model to assist in bringing the idea to digital form, I will offer the interested models a deep discount on a modeling session. In doing so, I would hope that they would find some value in my time & value in their time as well making it harder for them to want to reschedule to do whatever reason comes about.
I love working. I love photography, I do not love wasting my time or the time of potential or current clients.

We're Closed until April 6th
Hi there guys, guess what? I am on vacation. That's right, Great Outdoor Studio is closed until April 6, 2013. I am taking some much needed time off to spend with my loving and wonderful, patient family. I'll answer all calls, emails & facebook requests when I return. Much love!

Martin Family
I had the pleasure to do a quick mini-session with the Martin family this month in beautiful downtown Alachua Florida. I have never really been lucky enough to do to many pet family sessions, so I am very pleased and proud of these images. Since we completed this session Rocky has passed away & so these images are even that much more precious. I feel so lucky to have captured these now very much treasured images of their beloved Rocky.
